What are HBJ parties?

Happy Birthday Jesus parties are for families in need around metro Atlanta. It is an exciting time of the year where we prepare to celebrate our Happy Birthday Jesus season with a party. The Founder, Elizabeth Weatherby, felt called to bring the message and true meaning of Christmas, which is Jesus Christ, to the children and their families. And her way of doing it is through these HBJ parties. During these parties, each child receives a HBJ Shirt, a gift bag, participates in fun activities like face painting and festive craft stations, gets to enjoy birthday cake and drink and then is invited to sing and dance and watch puppets and much more.

Over the years, locally and internationally, our HBJ Parties have served over 100,000 children and families. To continue this blessing and to tell His message to that many people we need volunteers. We need volunteers to help set up and decorate at each party, to pass out HBJ Shirts and gift bags, at the balloon station and help at other activities during the party. HBJ Party Gift Bags

Every child attending a HBJ party receives a HBJ Gift Bag.  You can help collect the following suggested donated items and bring them to the warehouse, put gift bags together using the below list of suggested items or volunteer at our warehouse to help put the gift bags together.  We will need over 3000 gift bags for this coming season.

Girls: Dolls, Jump Ropes
Both: Socks, Coloring Books, Crayons/Markers

Ages 9-12

Boys: Soccer Balls, Basketballs, Footballs
Girls: Bath Sets, Crafts, Hats
Both: Spiral Notebooks, Socks, Pens/Pencils

• Visit www.target.com.
